Human Centric Media built a communications campaign around this landmark gathering, helping the newly-rebranded On Purpose Oregon introduce its expanded tent and audacious mission, and delivering a suite of narrative assets to anchor their new website and social presence in the months to follow.
B Local PDX and its executive director, Wes Griffin, spent years building a community of mission-driven business leaders aligned in a shared vision: a better economy where impact comes standard.
But entering 2026, the organization had a problem: their focus on certified B-Corporations, while clear and well-intentioned, left potential partners out of the movement.
B Bash, its signature springtime party, was to serve not just as a chance to catch up and align on objectives, but to unveil the organization’s new name and branding. On Purpose Oregon was broadening its scope to include nonprofits and entrepreneurs for whom certification was prohibitive or the wrong fit.
Attracting Like-Minded Partners
Any executive director can tell you: planning events is hard work. For his part, Wes calls himself an “accidental event planner.” Despite having a vast network of friends to call upon — food and beverage companies, designers and ad agencies alike — the labor of getting everyone together is no less intense.
The result of all that hard work is a burst of communal energy: old friends greeting each other warmly, getting aligned on the year’s work, and their good ideas spreading like wildfire.
But without thoughtful, robust event communications, all that energy dies the same night. It lives only in people’s (busy) memories, which are also famously unreliable.
Especially when you’re re-centering your organization around a refined mission and new set of objectives, a narrative campaign is a gamechanger.
Human Centric Media approaches every event as a chance to re-anchor an organization’s communications around what’s most important: the relationships it enables, and the success that follows.
For B Bash, we produced a suite of campaign materials that allowed On Purpose Oregon to capture the excitement of unveiling its new name and branding, turning it into social media moments that would reverberate throughout the mission-driven business community.
Getting More Value from Your Media
We’re exceptionally careful to align with our client’s objectives not just so that they’re satisfied with the resulting campaign, but to deliver assets that last for years and years.
Our storytelling centers values and relationships because at their core, these are the most fundamental elements of any lasting movement. They galvanize neighborhoods, activate communities and drive positive business outcomes — be that revenue, ticket sales or participation in memberships.
The photography we produced for On Purpose Oregon continues to power social media posts and website updates months later, and the video storytelling serves as a permanent anchor of the sort of values and personalities that make the organization special — a vibrant lighthouse on their social media profiles.
The Power of Collaborative Campaigns
Another thing that sets Human Centric Media apart is the way we engineer reach. Every campaign is an opportunity to find the nugget of shared values at the heart of our client’s partnerships, and deploy stories in a way that serves their shared objectives.
We utilize collaboration features, reposts and tagging to draw people into the deployment — driving deeper engagement and more word-of-mouth.
When it comes to social media, and especially for membership organizations or B2B marketing, it’s not just about maximizing reach. It’s about the quality of that reach.
A like or a follow is nice, but you know what’s nicer?
A single executive director watching your video to the very end and deciding to become a member. A fiscal sponsor seeing the excitement a campaign generates and deciding to get in on that action. A founder who tells their entire team about what you’re doing.
On every campaign, we look for these opportunities to maximize the energy in the room and turn it into lasting results. The conversations are already happening. We help you be a part of them.
